My experience with Alexander technique has given me back some of my long lost confidence of having a graceful posture. But more importantly, the technique has helped me alleviate neck and shoulder pain that I had started to get from spending 9-10 hours every day in front of my computer at work. I first began to have Alexander Technique lessons with Antonella nine months ago after developing RSI in my wrists and arms and suffering from a stiff neck and shoulders.  My problems largely came about due to a build up of stress and spending long hours in front of a computer at work.  Since then I have noticed a huge improvement in my condition and feel much better overall.
 
Ironically, the Alexander Technique was the last thing that I came to but it has been the most helpful.  I had previously tried acupuncture, physiotherapy, osteopathy and craniosacral therapy, which all had short term benefits but the effects didn’t last.  I think the Technique worked because it taught me how to move correctly again and as well as reducing my pain, has helped me to develop a new poise, awareness and grace. 
 
It has also improved my regular yoga practice as I am now able to apply the principles that I have learned with Antonella to my practice. I’ve also found the principles useful at work, when presenting or speaking in meetings.
 
Antonella has been a kind, calm and inspirational teacher and I look forward to continuing lessons with her to develop my understanding further.
